Calculate Thinning Needs Easier Than Ever with Arboreal Forest

Thinning is a crucial aspect of forest management, but calculating thinning needs has traditionally been a complex process. In the past, it required several separate steps:

  1. Measuring basal area
  2. Measuring dominant height
  3. Calculating site index
  4. Determining thinning priority

Now, we've made this process significantly simpler. With the latest update to Arboreal Forest (version 2.16), you can perform all these steps in one place.

See How It Works in Practice

To demonstrate how easy it is now to calculate thinning needs with Arboreal Forest, we ventured into the woods and recorded an instructional video. In the video, we show step-by-step how you can use the app to quickly and efficiently assess the thinning needs in your forest.

Benefits of the New Update

  • Time-saving: All calculations are done in a single app.
  • User-friendly: Intuitive design makes the process simple even for beginners.
  • Precise: Utilizes advanced algorithms for accurate calculations.
  • Mobile: Perform calculations directly in the field with your smartphone.

Download the Update Now

We have used the calculations that are available in Sweden and outside of Sweden this feature is not available. Each country has different calculations and parameters and it is not possible to use the same calculations for all countries. If you miss the calculations in your country please let us know.

If you're already using Arboreal Forest, make sure to update to version 2.16 to access these new features. For new users, simply download the app from the App Store.

By simplifying the process of calculating thinning needs, we hope to help forest owners and managers make well-informed decisions about their forests more efficiently. Try out the new features and let us know what you think!
