Welcome to Tree Scanner! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Tree Scanner app (the "App"), developed by Arboreal AB, located at Strandvägen 2c, 922 63 Tavelsjö, Sweden ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Purpose and Scope
Tree Scanner is designed to assist forestry professionals by providing tools for measuring single trees and logs, reading RFID tags, and saving data to the cloud. Users can scan logs and trees, capturing details such as location, volume, length, quality, log/tree ID, images, and point cloud data.
2. User Requirements and Eligibility
Tree Scanner does not impose age restrictions; however, forestry experience is recommended for optimal use of the App's features. By using the App, you confirm that you possess the legal capacity to agree to these terms.
3. Data Collection and Privacy
Tree Scanner collects specific types of data, including log and tree measurements, images, and point cloud data, which is saved to our servers when you create an account. By creating an account and using the App, you consent to the collection and processing of this data as outlined in our separate Privacy Policy.
4. Subscription and Payments
Access to certain features within the App may require a subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees associated with your chosen subscription plan. Subscription fees are charged in advance, and refunds will be handled according to the Apple App Store policies.
5. Usage Restrictions
You agree to use Tree Scanner only for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access or use another user's account without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's services or servers
6. Liability and Disclaimers
Tree Scanner is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Arboreal AB disclaims all liability for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of the App, including, but not limited to, data inaccuracies, service interruptions, or data loss. Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of measurements and other data generated by the App.
7. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Tree Scanner, including all software, logos, trademarks, and content within the App, remain the property of Arboreal AB. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of these materials is prohibited.
8. Modifications to Terms and Services
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on this page, and your continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the App shall be resolved exclusively within the Swedish judicial system.
